Does any one know how to make K-mart ham sandwiches?

when I was a kid in the early 80's my parents use to buy me ham sandwiches that came like 4 or 5 to a bag along with a cherrie ICEE and nachos at the front deli by the checkout registers, What I can recall is seedless hamburger buns, finely shredded lettuce, mustard, thin sliced ham, I tried making them the other night but something was missing not to shure what though,I remember the taste so well, maybe Im using the wrong type of ham, please share recipie if you have it.
