A biodynamic agricultural question?

what are the properties of and benefits of growing Foxgloves and Borage. what do they do to the soil and should they be plowed back in? I have read that all parts of the foxglove are toxic to live stock, as we are looking to improve pasture, is there an alternative plant with the same properties?
