How do i talk to him, or how do i get him to talk to me?

okay the thing is he's a year younger than me (i'm grade 10, he's grade 9) and he's in my english cl last period. we don't talk outside of cl. and sometimes we don't even talk inside of cl. i'm really shy, most times we don't talk unless i'm sittin with this other girl, and then he'll come up and start talkin or w.e. to her. i see him in the halls and he doesn't even notice me. and in cl, he's always with the other guys and i get really nervous talking in a group of people, because i can never think of anything to say so i just keep quiet.
