I'm running for Rodeo Queen, tips?

I am running for Rodeo Queen here pretty soon. I have to give a short speech (the topic hasn't been posted yet), be able to answer questions on the sport of rodeo, and ride a horsemanship pattern. I have searched Google all over and found very useful sites. I know to smile all the time, look at the audience during my speech, etc. Any other good tips from you guys? Any would be appreciated.
