What should I do for my birthday?

Okay, I'm turning 27 this Saturday and I live in the bay area (CA). I'm looking for something to do and somewhere to go around here. I'm fine with Berkeley, San Jose, San Francisco or anywhere in between. But I'd prefer Berkeley or SF. I have done Dave & Buster to death and I don't really like clubs. I would like to do something like a fun restaurant that's kinda entertaining (not kiddie entertainment but like social and sort of interactive). My ideal plan would be a restaurant and then something after. My friends are being no help right now. They just said they're down for whatever I wanna do. But that's the point, I have no real clue of what to do. Any help would be appreciated.
