Frostwire is the safest P2P (peer2peer) free software out there. I had limewire for a week and my computer died. I've had frostwire for a year and I use the heck out of it. You just got to be careful. Never download a song when it's size is much larger than the other results like "231908". Just use common sense, and you get all the free music you can imagine.
