Has anyone elsle heard that closeted christians can be dangerous?

I recently came across this article http://www.thegaymanifesto.com/2011/01/11/note-to-gay-men-dont-date-closeted-christians/. The reason why it frightens me is because I'm dating a closeted gay man. I'm also a member of the congregation. Neither of us is out. Should I stay with this guy?
