What will happen to me if I eat expired Beef Jerky?

I made a stop at a very popular gas station "eleventy-seven" and purchased some beef jerky, as I opened the bag my dad mentioned that it smelled like sulfuric farts, I was it's just the paking, so I takke a bite notice it taste funny, about 10 bites into the thing I look at the expiration date "Best by feb 11 2009 16:37" I was like wtf. So what can happen to me, am I gonna get the sh!tz? Horrible farts....die? Ugggh
