Those fire "guns" hielp, easy ?

so i was trying pyrokinesis and i was making a candle light, and then i figure it would be cool to put a bigger flame by make the flaem "gun" its small prolly the size of my hand, and put the nose of the gun OVER the lit candle, and it kinda ruined the flame gun how do i fix the gun, and like when i try to ignite on it, it doesn't really lite, and when it DOES it has a very weak flame
